Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 January 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners.
2. Cookies we use
We keep our cookie footprint deliberately small. Specifically:
- Essential cookies — required for the site to work. These include the PHP session cookie (login state, CSRF protection) and the device-fingerprint cookie (security binding). These cannot be disabled.
- Preference cookies — remember your UI choices (e.g., theme, dismissed banners). Set only after you interact with the relevant control.
- Analytics cookies — anonymous traffic data via privacy-respecting analytics. No third-party advertising trackers.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not use cookies from advertising networks, social-media trackers, or data brokers. Where we embed third-party content (e.g., an embedded video), that provider may set its own cookies — we list these in plain language at the point of use.
4. Cookie lifetimes
| Type | Lifetime |
|---|---|
| Session | Until browser closes |
| Preference | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Up to 24 months |
5. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via Settings → Privacy. Note: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in or using authenticated parts of the site.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material updates will be announced on this page.
